Dad's Bill of Rights

It is important to know your rights and how to protect your interests and those of your child /children.

Just like a mother, a dad has the right to ask for primary guardianship of his child /children.

Dads have the exact same claims as mothers when it comes to child support.

You have the right and responsibility to be there for your child /children in a meaningful way on a daily basis.
- 5.
If a dad were to receive custody, that man has the right to petition the court for child support from the mother of his child /children.
- 6.
Child support should be used to help provide for expenses like food, clothing, necessities and shelter.
- 7.
Now, if you as the dad are not given custody, you still have the right to see your child /children no matter what.

The visitation needs to be fair and consistent.
- 9.
Co-parenting is essential.

You are entitled to spend as much time with your child /children as possible without interference by the custodial parent, better known as the mother of your child, also known as the ex-wife, and sometimes known as the baby mama.
